Sponsor Presentation: The CMS Prior Authorization Rule: Opportunities for Automation & AI

Join us for a discussion on how Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with enhanced interoperability in the health care industry transforms the prior authorization process, mainly through managing and analyzing unstructured data. When combined with seamless data exchange in alignment with the CMS Interoperability and Prior Authorization Final Rule (CMS-0057-F), AI's capabilities enable transparency, data exchange, and automation of various tasks within the authorization workflow.  By leveraging AI, interoperability, and the power to process unstructured data, the health care system is moving towards a more interconnected, intelligent, and patient-centric model.

Sponsor Presentation: Driving improvement in maternal care and ambulatory procedure outcomes

According to the World Health Organization, approximately 800 women die daily from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. In addition, elective surgical and medical procedures are one of the fastest growing areas in healthcare expenditures. Solventum, formerly 3M Health Care, offers a suite of solutions including 3M™ Severe Maternal Morbidity (SMM) and 3M™ Ambulatory Potentially Preventable Complications (AM-PPCs) that work in support of Medicaid initiatives across the country to safeguard maternal care and address areas of opportunity for intervention. Join us to learn more about how Solventum’s maternal health methodology bundle, including 3M SMM and 3M AM-PPCs, addresses the hidden costs of elective procedures and identifies and quantifies post-procedure complications and excess utilization providing insights into understanding complication rates across the continuum of care, inpatient and emergency department (ED) complication rates across facilities, and national averages of complication rates for comparative analysis.

Speaker: Kevin Clark, Business Development Manager – Solventum FKA 3M Health Information Systems Regulatory and Payer Solutions

Sponsor Presention - Engaging Rising Risk Patients Receiving Medicaid Through Community-Based Interventions

Rising risk patients receiving Medicaid typically experience worsening medical and behavioral health conditions and increased acute care utilization, and are disconnected from primary care and traditional health plan care management. Recent randomized controlled studies show community-based early interventions improve outcomes for these patients before they become high utilizers of acute care services. Yet limited data and infrastructure support, inconsistent grant-based funding, and high administrative burdens on staff have limited the accessibility and reproducibility of successful early community-based interventions. In this session, Waymark will provide an overview for how Medicaid MCOs and primary care providers (PCPs) can develop the collaborative infrastructure to deliver proactive, community-based interventions to rising risk Medicaid patients in Florida.

Speaker:  Brett Hickman, Head of Partnerships, Waymark
